The Story Alchemy Book Path includes two options to guide you on your book writing journey:

Crucible: A 6-month Book Writing Intensive:
Join a small cohort of other writers and write your books together. Gain insights into the structure of narrative, learn craft tools to commit your story to the page, work with meditation and mindful awareness to explore your role as narrator and get boots-on-the-ground know-how to get you from outline to a strong first draft and exercises. You will receive guidance and encouragement every step of the way. -
Advanced Alchemy:
Advanced Alchemy is designed for graduates of Crucible who are in the midst of writing a strong draft and are seeking to polish their pages and prepare their book for publishing. The course is also offered by invitation only to other soon-to-be authors who are experienced writers and have a strong book idea or those who are experts in their field and are ready to translate their vision into book form.
Whether you consider yourself a writer or simply someone with gems to share, there is one thing for certain: the world needs your stories—now.

6-month Book Writing Intensive

Craft Classes, Reading Workshops and Q+A Sessions:
We will meet 2-3 times/ month for Craft Classes, Reading Workshops where you share your pages and get feedback from fellow Alchemists and Q+A sessions when you can ask any question you have about about your writing process, craft challenges, mindset, the path to publishing and more. -
Everything You Need to Write a Book:
Classes guide you on everything from outlining, information organization and research, honing your vision, finding your voice, scene study, character development, the role of awareness in writing and more. -
1-on-1 Sessions:
You receive 3 1:1 sessions. You will submit up to 20 pages for review. We meet for a 45-minute session to discuss your work and writing process in depth. -
Create a Writing Practice:
You will learn to create a regular writing practice with the goal of writing 180-200 pages to complete a very strong first draft of your work. The course is structured to support memoirists and writers of literary non-fiction. There are exceptions for general non-fiction depending on the project.
Enrollment opens in June, 2024.
We limit each cohort to 20 people to give each participant the attention they deserve.

The Alchemists Writing Community Membership:
The Alchemists Writing Community membership is included in Advanced Alchemy. Keep growing as a writer with a Monthly Writing Workshop, Weekly Meditation and Writing Sessions and a private online community. -
Monthly Reading Night:
Join other Advanced Alchemists to share your work and get feedback on the last Tuesday of each month 4-6pm PST/ 7-9 pm EST. -
1-on-1 Sessions:
Each month you will submit up to 15 pages for review. We meet for a 30-minute, 1-on-1 session to discuss your work and writing process in depth. -
Two-month Sessions:
Advanced Alchemy is designed to support the ebb and flow of working on a manuscript. Join for a two-month session to focus on finessing your manuscript. Take a break if needed to dig in and write and then return for the next session for class, community and 1-on-1 sessions. Advanced Alchemy is always here to help you to complete your manuscript.
You will come to confidently call yourself a writer and emerge stronger, wiser and profoundly changed by the process.
